Description
You will need a square, solid, level base. This should be constructed of paving flags or concrete slab and should be clear of debris. Ideally the building should be slightly larger than the building (all measurements given are external) to allow for inconsistencies in measurement and to make it easier to build. Ensure you have access to all four sides for maintenance. You will need to be aware of any overhang at the front and sides of the cabin and also the size of the veranda to make sure it will fit into your space and not overhang another property. There are special requirements for the Lillehammer garage - please contact us about this. If you are using our construction service and the base is not suitable we will not construct the log cabin and a charge will be made for the inconvenience.

We do not provide nails/screws etc with our log cabins (door and window handles are included though). If you are unsure what you should use to fix the roof, floor, shingles and trim please contact us. All log cabins come with a guidance plan on how to build them up and we are always available on the telephone if you need extra assistance.

Roofing shingles are available in 3 colours- red, green and black, our high grade asphalt roofing tiles create an eye catching hexagonal pattern and ensure the roof is watertight.

Your log cabin will need to be treated as soon as possible after construction. We recommend you protect it with a good quality woodstain such as Sikkens Novatech. This is a low solvent based woodstain available in several attractive colours, two coats should last for up to 5 years.

There are a number of optional extras that can be purchased for our log cabins. It is possible to have extra windows on most of the range, they are available in single or double size If you need more space outside consider replacing the 1.5m veranda with an extra long 3m veranda. We also offer a construction service - price includes provision of nails/screws etc as well as labour. Please contact us for the prices of any of the above
